Summary

SumTake has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and collects no data for us. Your recordings are stored on your iPhone.

What is stored on your iPhone

Audio, photos, markers, transcripts and summaries are stored in the app's storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS encryption. Your Gladia key is stored only in the iPhone keychain, not synced to iCloud, and Face ID is required to view or change it. A technical diagnostics log (microphone changes and errors, no audio or key) stays on the device.

What is sent and to whom

When you process a recording, the app sends the audio to Gladia using your own API key, together with the transcription settings (languages, vocabulary, number of speakers, any context you wrote and the questions you ask with “Ask Gladia”). Gladia is an independent external service; that data is handled under its privacy policy and terms. SumTake does not receive or keep a copy on any server of its own.

“Ask” with Apple Intelligence runs on the iPhone and sends nothing out.

Permissions

Microphone to record, camera for photos during a recording, notifications for alerts and Face ID to protect the key. You can revoke them in iOS Settings.

Deleting your data

Delete any recording in the app, or everything by deleting the app. Data sent to Gladia is managed from your Gladia account.
